Since beginning his practice in Chicago, Illinois, Mack H. Reed has tenaciously represented all manner of clients – both plaintiffs and defendants, from Fortune 50 companies to small businesses to individuals.  Mack has a wide range of experience as a litigator and counselor, including in employment discrimination and whistleblower matters; financial markets arbitrations (including employee “raiding” and promissory note collection cases) before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”); whistleblower claims with regulatory agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”); closely-held shareholder/member disputes; and other complex commercial litigation in both state and federal court, such as breach of contract actions (including actions involving post-employment restrictive covenants), breach of fiduciary duty actions, fraud actions, actions for temporary or preliminary injunctive relief, trade secret misappropriation disputes, and statutory and common-law unfair competition disputes.  He also has considerable experience negotiating pre-litigation settlements.

In every instance, Mack commits himself to empathizing with his clients so as to better understand – and better advocate for – their goals (whether legal, business, or personal). Clients appreciate Mack’s no-nonsense approach to practicing law (he grew up on the East Coast), as well as his creativity and the aggressive, but pragmatic approach he brings to each matter.

Prior to joining MADEL PA, Mack co-chaired the employment practice group of a Minneapolis-based plaintiffs’ law firm.  When he isn’t working, he’s usually cooking, reading, riding his bike around a lake, or boring someone to tears expounding on the cultural history of the horror movie in America.
